When I think of my Grandma Emily, I think of California rose gardens, persimmons hanging low on the branch, orchids in bloom, biting into an heirloom tomato, watercolors splashed on paper, a perfect spring day, and my spirited family whose togetherness brings her the purest joy. These images were all taken on film in her garden in Napa, capturing her innate ability to guide from seed to bloom.
