My mother is one of those people whose never met a stranger. She offers up her big heart in heaps and smiles, whether its in line at the grocery store or at the “beatnik” bars I dragged her to in my twenties. She is vibrant and beautiful, charming and willful- and she taught me to let the sun shine through and around me from a young age. My greatest protector, and hero of my life story, my mom holds a place in my heart that only a mother possibly can.
